However, I was too lazy too even do that. Of course I was up all night, not falling asleep until 4:00 AM watching my latest Netflix binge Lie to Me.
I was awoken by my daughter and my husband getting up to go to work/preschool at 7:00 AM. Alice always wants to be "snug as a bug" with me for a few minutes before the morning routine begins because usually I am leaving the house to go off to work when she wakes up.
I noticed right away that she feels warm and her voice is almost non-existent. Since my suspeciouns were corrected and she did in fact have a fever she stayed home with me. Mind you, now I am taking care of a sick two and half year old on three hours sleep, awesome. After a long morning mostly trying to decypher what Alice was saying with her new Tara Reid voice. Some Tylanol and coconut water (this is my favorite) she took a long nap.
While putting Alice to bed I noticed I missed a call from Mass General. My orthopedic called ( I am having major surgery on Feb. 10) to tell me that my surgery date has to be rescheduled for 2 weeks later than the original date!! This is all do to my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) "NEEDING" a 30-45 day window to approve procedures. So now I am out of work for another 2 weeks BEFORE my surgery. So in a day I went from having a healthy child to one with croup and although sucky had my work schedule and life scheduled around Feb 10 only to be told I didn't. I am already not sleeping due to anxiety and now I have 2 more weeks to worry and stress, I can't believe it.
So February you crazy basterd, you are throwing me for a loop!
Ugh, I can't believe this is happening...
